  Chardonnay

   

 

 

 

Chardonnay is the most representative white wine in our region since – owing to its freshness, liveliness and perfumes – it is capable to delight the most refined palates.

The vineyard lies in the municipal territory of Calliano in a slightly sloping place called "Vòi"; this is the sunniest part of Calliano if you’re coming from Besenello. 

After an accurate selection of the grapes, this wine is made with a slight pressing followed by white vinification at low temperatures in order to guarantee a long aromatic persistence.

It is then refined in steel for about 4 months and then bottled to be consumed.

The colour is straw yellow with greenish tints and the perfume is intense and fruity with typical notes of peach and banana. Dry, full bodied and well balanced on the palate.

A pleasant aperitif, it well completes to fish or shellfish, lean starters and delicate soups.

It  should be served at an ideal temperature of about 10°C.

YELD: 90 q/ha

 

HARVEST: grapes hand-picked at the beginning of September

 

WINEMAKING PROCESS:

fermentation: stainless  steel – 8 days

refining: stainless steel - 4 months

               in bottle - 1 month
